缘起 (The Origin)

为响应新加坡政府的呼吁：培育一批精通两种语文，对中华文化有深厚认识的人才，新加坡福建会馆教育组于2007年在教育部的批准与支持下，率先在属下五所学校—道南学校、爱同学校、崇福学校、南侨小学以及光华学校开办双文化华文优选课程 (Bicultural Chinese Elective Programme，简称BiCEP)。每一年，各校会通过严谨的遴选测试招收四年级双文化华文优选课程的学生；至今，福建会馆属下五所学校，每年约有500多名成绩优异的学生参与这个为期三年（四年级至六年级）的课程。

开办目标 (Setting Targets)

培养一群精通双语的小学生，提升会馆属校学生的华文语言及文化水平并激发他们对华文的热爱，最终希望他们到中学及高中继续修读双文化课程。

通过对中华传统文化价值观的学习，培养学生良好的品德修养。

师资与教材 (Teachers and Teaching materials)

福建会馆属下五校的老师共同参与编撰及教学工作，同时聘请专家和学者指导、审核、修订教材；并建立网络平台，以加强五校老师的教学交流。

课程内容 (Course Content)

除教育部所规定的核心及深广课程外，课程内容还涵盖中华文化、儿童文学赏析与创作、语言训练及中英双语对比等四个单元。三年课程的总课时为152小时。

课程通过生动有趣的内容、浅白易懂的语言来激发学生学习文化的兴趣；以绘本、儿童诗及作品赏析的形式，培养学生对文学的认识及热爱并陶冶学生的个性；选用字、词、句、段的互译训练，通过角色扮演、口头翻译和游戏的形式进行教导中英对比；并训练学生掌握正确的发音技巧，与人交际的社交语言，让学生能充满自信地运用华语与他人沟通。

除了观赏文化演出及展览，四年级的学生会参与口语训练营；五年级学生会分别到中国或台湾进行国外浸濡活动；六年级的学生则会在结业兼成品展上通过展示个人作品，为三年的学习做总结。

崇福学校也为双文化优选课程学生开办校本辅助课程。本校辅助课程就包括戏曲课；戏曲是崇福学校的特色课程，四、五年级的学生有机会在双文化课程中学习到一些戏曲的知识，如：戏曲身段、服装等。我们还有一些学习之旅、带学生观赏艺术表演，提高他们的文化修养。学生还能上书法课、水墨画课、品茗和制作月饼等等。

包粽子
(Zongzi Session)

为了让孩子们亲身体验裹粽子的乐趣，老师们给三年级安排了一堂体验课。这是结合该年级的课文《包粽子》，把课文的内容落实到学生的生活中，让他们亲自动手尝试裹粽子。在现今社会里，这样的活动显得格外重要，因为它扮演着传承华人传统习俗的重要角色。为了更好地辅助学生及老师，校方也请了不少家长义工前来帮忙。虽然准备工作繁重，但这个活动获得了老师、家长及学生的好评。

2022年全国小学华语讲故事比赛
2022 National Primary School Chinese Storytelling Competition)

2022年全国小学华语讲故事比赛于7月9日，在崇福嘉庚堂举行。今年的比赛吸引了来自39所学校的74名学生参加，其中还包括了2名居家教育的孩子。虽然疫情尚未结束，但我们在福建会馆及中学华文教师会的支持下还是决定举行实体比赛。阔别两年，许多学生这还是第一次在台上大显身手。因此，对孩子们来说，这是一个非常难得的机会。这场比赛吸引了超过两百名观众到场支持，场面颇为盛大。

Mother Tongue Languages (MTL) Reading Programme

Our MTL Reading Programme aims to build a strong foundation in the Mother Tongue Languages by exposing our students to different genres of writing and fostering a love for reading. A ‘Reading Passport’ is given to each student to track his/ her reading progress through a variety of activities. The passport also guides them to select appropriate books to read and after each term, they will be able to redeem bookmarks as rewards for completing the activities.

During MTL lessons, our students enjoy a myriad of reading activities, which include storytelling, book recommendations, and the making of animal bookmarks and paper puppets etc. Outstanding pieces of work from our students are then selected and showcased at our Media Resource Library.

To further raise awareness of the importance of reading, the MTL Department organised the Bookmark Design & Creativity Competition last year, which received overwhelming participation from our students.
